Original NOS from the Water of Ayr & Tam O'Shanter Hone Works in Stair, Scotland

The mine has been in operation since the end of the 18th century and has been owned by the Montgomerie family for over 100 years. The stones offered here are old stock from the Montgomerie estate.

An ideal combination of Tam O'Shanter in the working range of approx. 6-9K and on the other side a Water of Ayr as razor finisher in the grit range of approx. 9-11K.
