Thuringian Hone - mottled black - "Schwedenstein"

Mottled black thuringian hone from the late mining period in the thuringian mountains. The green variety of these hones was formerlry sold and known as "Schwedenstein".

These hones are a little hader than the well known thuringian hones of the simple green or blue quality, but also act a little faster while honing.

With original saw marks visible on the sides, backside left natural, sides sealed.

Visible veins in the stone are not harmful.
